General Anthony (Tony) Zinni USMC (Ret.), former commander of US Central Command (USCENTCOM), spoke at a meeting of the Navy League’s Williamsburg-Yorktown Council held on September 8, 2010. He reviewed current U.S. national security issues from the politics and policy, strategy, operational and tactical levels. Accompanying General Zinni is Norbert Smith of the Council.
Captain William (Bill) Milne USCG, Commanding Officer of the United States Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown, spoke at a meeting of the Navy League’s Williamsburg-Yorktown Council. He briefed the council members on the Coast Guard’s operations during the Deepwater Horizon Incident in the Gulf of Mexico, and Training Center Yorktown’s current mission responsibilities to train Coast Guard personnel and other federal and state government agencies in handling the Deepwater Horizon Incident and future incidents.
